Wrekin Voices Update 08 November 2024

Welcome to our latest Wrekin Voices update. We have some interactive workshops coming up over the next few weeks to help us develop our services. They will be a great way to share your views and experience.

If you would like to share ideas and catch up with other Wrekin Voices, we have a Wrekin Voices Facebook group. You can join here.

Ways to get involved - Workshops

Antisocial behaviour (ASB) workshop

Join our interactive workshop where you can share your thoughts on our current ASB process and help shape the service for our new organisation. This is a great opportunity to have your voice heard and make a real difference in how we handle antisocial behaviour.

At the workshop, you will hear from both Wrekin and Housing Plus Group staff to discuss our current practices and explore ways to improve them. Your ideas and opinions will help us create a better approach to tackling these issues in the future.

Complaints handling and website

We also have opportunities coming up to take a look at our complaints handling and website.

Website -  let us know what you want to see more of from our website and digital services in the future.

Complaints - take a look at how we are doing against the complaint handling code and have a look at some past complaints together.

Workshops will take place in November/December and there will be a free prize draw to win £50, £25 and £15 of shopping vouchers at each event.  If you would like to get involved please register your interest via the button below.

Working together

Spooky bike fun at Cornnovii Gardens

We've been working with the customers at Connovii Gardens in Oswestry to improve road safety awareness with young children in the neighbourhood.
During the school half-term break we joined the local housing team to hold an event which brought the local community together.
As well as some spooky fun and pumpkin carving, Colin from Bikes 4 Change was also on hand to undertake free bike repairs and offer some sound safety advice. Find out more in this short video on Facebook.

MP Drop-in

We joined Shaun Davies MP at Madeley Library for a drop-in session where the community could speak with Shaun and other partners like Mind, AgeUK and local Councillors. We chatted with customers about various things including moving homes and it was great to link up with other local partners.

Attwood Rise community event

We joined the Housing team for a walkabout and litter pick at Attwood Rise in Kidsgrove. There were lots of great conversations about the area and working together more closely to enhance the community.
